Reflecting the scale spectrum of beekeepers across the state that Lone Star Beekeepers Association serves, the Board of Directors is comprised of beekeepers ranging from the hobbyist to the commercial beekeeper.

Bruce is a sideline beekeeper with apiaries in Dallas & Rockwall counties. He is the owner of Bee Bonnett Honey. Bruce has had an early fascination with honey bees since the 1960’s when at age 6 his great uncle sat him in front of hives located on his uncle’s farm in Terrell, Texas. He finally took the plunge with his own bees in 2014. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Dallas County’s Trinity Valley Beekeepers Association. |

Christi is a commercial migratory beekeeper and owner of BEEGIRL.BIZ LLC. Having founded BEEGIRL.BIZ in 2010 she now has beekeeping & honey production operations in Dallas County, East Texas & North Dakota. She teaches beekeeping in the spring in the Dallas area. Christi is a Past President of Dallas County’s Trinity Valley Beekeepers Association. |

Julie is a small scale urban beekeeper. Since 2013 she has mixed her interest in bees with her bed & breakfast business and egg laying chickens. Julie became interested in bees as a child — “I clearly remember collecting bees in a jar just to study them for awhile and then letting them go. They mesmerized me! When I heard about backyard beekeeping I knew I wanted to give it a try at my little urban farm. Many successes and failures, but I’m hooked.”In 2018 she attended North Texas Master Naturalist classes and is accumulating her volunteer hours for NTMN. |
